I got my very first 12-string...

My roommate is moving to Michigan for a few months on a teaching fellowship, so we are interviewing potential roommates. The one I met seems okay, but I will have to wait for her to actually start living here before I pass judgment. I always seem to read people pretty well.
Anyway, when I was letting one of the potential roomies out of the building, I noticed there was a big sign in the foyer that said
"FREE STUFF!" and under it was two keyboards, some board games, and a 12-string acoustic guitar with a note: "neck needs adjusting." After letting the people out, I looked at the guitar and went upstairs. Five minutes later I walked downstairs, picked up the guitar nonchalantly and walked back to my place. Jack-freakin'-pot! I was pretty excited. I've always wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument. I figured since it's almost New Year's, I should make a resolution to learn the guitar in 2007. Maybe it's my calling! Maybe I've wasted my life trying to break into TV instead of concentrating on my singing/songwriting!
Anyway, I went to my friend Doris' house for her 33rd birthday and she said she could adjust the neck. Woo hoo! Hopefully it's not too difficult to learn on a 12-string.
